What is difference between Road Safety and Traffic Safety

In today's world road and transport has become an very important part of every human being. Every human body is using roads in different forms example- pedestrianscyclistsmotorists, vehicle passengers, horse-riders and passengers of on-road public transport. The present transport system has decreased the distances but on the other hand it increased the life risk as well. So today we are going to discuss the different between road safety and traffic safety.

Basically road safety & traffic safety are often called road traffic safety which refers to the methods and measures used to prevent road users from being killed or seriously injured. Typical road users include: pedestrianscyclistsmotorists, vehicle passengers, horse-riders and passengers of on-road public transport
(mainly heavy vehicles like:- bus, truck, tramps and etc). Road safety is massive sector and traffic safety is inheritance from road safety. As sustainable solutions for all classes of road safety have not been identified, particularly low-traffic rural and remote roads, a hierarchy of control should be applied, similar to classifications used to improve occupational safety and health. The basic strategy of a Safe System approach is to ensure that in the event of a crash, the impact energies remain below the threshold likely to produce either death or serious injury.

Why are most of the people are ignorant about road safety and traffic rules. Simply because they are not stopped and fined for doing that. The same condition prevailed in everywhere in world. But when people will get educated about road safety and make them aware about why road safety is essential & the road safety traffic regulations will strict and regular checking will be done, then the situation will definitely improve a lot.
